In the dystopian Detroit of 1990, Omni Consumer Products (OCP) has successfully deployed the RoboCop law enforcement unit, bringing about a sense of urban pacification to the city. However, with this newfound success comes the emergence of a new and highly addictive narcotic known as "Nuke". The drug spreads rapidly throughout the city, threatening to undo all the progress made by RoboCop. As the situation worsens, OCP sees an opportunity to further exploit RoboCop's capabilities by upgrading him with advanced features and assigning him to take down the Nuke cartel.
